The Friends of the Egremont Free Library was organized in 2001, when a group of Egremont residents met informally to offer assistance to the Trustees and the Librarian of the Library, in the form of volunteer and financial support, to enhance, expand, and improve the programs, services and facilities of the Library.
Meetings are held monthly, on the last Wednesday of each month, at 4:00 PM, in the Library. The meetings are open to the public, and all are invited to attend. To make a donation to the Friends of the Egremont Free Library, please contact: _____

The Friends in 2006 awarded a $500 scholarship to Alice Maggio, a resident of Egremont and a graduate of the Mount Everett Regional School, who will be attending college this fall.
The Friends have also created this website and have undertaken the expense to maintain it.
